Galerías presents commercial galleries from Mexico and across the world who are actively shaping contemporary art discourse. Our selection committee is Beatriz López of Instituto de Visión, Bogota / New York City; Chris Sharp of Chris Sharp Gallery, Los Angeles; and Francisco Cordero-Oceguera of Lodos, Mexico City.

Please note that our stands are now priced in Mexican Pesos rather than United States Dollars. 

The cost per square meter is $7500 Mexican Pesos + VAT (16%).

Available stands*:

• Small (approx. 7–9 m2 / 75–97 sq. ft.)
  $52,500–$67,500 Mexican Pesos (+ 16% VAT)
  Approx. $2900–$3730 USD (+ 16% VAT) at the time of publication
  
• Medium (approx. 12–16 m2 / 129–172 sq. ft.)
  $90,000–$120,000 Mexican Pesos (+ 16% VAT)
  Approx. $4970–$6630 USD (+ 16% VAT) at the time of publication
  
• Large (approx. 22–26 m2 / 237–280 sq. ft.)
  $165,000–$195,000 Mexican Pesos (+ 16% VAT)
  Approx. $9115–$10,770 USD (+ 16% VAT) at the time of publication

Deadline to apply: Friday, June 30th, 2023. A non-refundable application fee of $3750 Mexican Pesos + VAT (16%) will be required to complete your application. This is approximately $240 USD, VAT included. You will be given the opportunity to pay the application fee in the currency of your choice upon checkout, at the exchange rate offered by our payment processing service.

* The indicated areas for each stand are estimates and are subject to change, depending on the final architectural project. More precise dimensions for each stand will be determined before notification of acceptance and stand rental costs will be billed accordingly at $7500 Mexican Pesos per square meter + VAT (16%). Approximate costs in USD were calculated in mid-April, 2023; exchange rates are always changing and Material cannot be held responsible for the final cost in USD.

In 2021, with the support of our Main Partner, Del Castillo y Castro Abogados, we relaunched our Projects section as Proyectos: a two-year program for Mexico-based, commercial and non-commercial organizations dedicated to the curation and exhibition of contemporary art.

By focusing exclusively on Mexican projects, we believe we can make a more measurable, lasting, and significant contribution to the ecosystem upon which the health and relevance of our own organization depends.

Young international galleries are encouraged to apply for our Galerías section.
