Artists Bio

Santiago Mostyn
(b. in San Francisco, USA, 1981) Lives and works in Stockholm (Sweden).

Santiago Mostyn is an artist and photographer who makes prints, videos and books based on personal interactions with subcultural communities throughout the world. Mostyn is a graduate of Yale University and the Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm, and has exhibited internationally at venues including Mass MoCA, Kunst-Werke Berlin, Art Basel Miami Beach and Fotografiska, Stockholm.

Xavier Veilhan
(b. in Lyon, France, 1963) Lives and works in Paris (France).

Since the mid-1980s Xavier Veilhan has created an acclaimed body of works defined by his interest in both the vocabulary of modernity and classical statuary. His work pays tribute to the inventions and inventors of modernity. He has a long-standing interest in the often-evolving exhibition space in which the visitor becomes an actor. A regular when it comes to projects in the public space, Xavier Veilhan has installed sculptures in various cities in France.

Ridley Howard
(b. in Atlanta, USA, 1973) Lives and works in Athens (USA).

Ridley Howard is currently represented by Marinaro Gallery, NY; Andréhn-Schiptjenko Gallery, Stockholm, Sweden; and Fredric Snitzer Gallery, Miami. He is also co-founder of gallery 106 Green in Brooklyn, NY. He has received awards from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, the Joan Mitchell Foundation, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. His work has been shown at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Savannah College of Art, the Knoxville Museum of Art, and the High Museum, Atlanta.

Gallery Statement

Andréhn-Schiptjenko’s founding in 1991 marked the start of a new generation of galleries in Scandinavia. It represents contemporary artists, emerging and established all over the world. It is one of the most influential galleries in Scandinavia and enjoys privileged relationships with museums and collectors. It is owned and directed by Ciléne Andréhn and Marina Schiptjenko, who are both selection committee-members of art fairs and board members of institutions and the Swedish National Gallery Association.
