José Castiella
(b. in Spain) Lives and works in Madrid and Pamplona (Spain).

Castiella's work explores, through constant speculation with the material, the possibility of new life forms after the collapse. He studied Fine Arts at the University of the Basque Country. He completed his MF at Goldsmiths College in London.

Stephany Yepes Lozano
(b. in Bogotá, Colombia) Lives and works in Leipzig (Germany).

In 2010, with a DAAD scholarship, she crossed the Atlantic Ocean and began to work entirely in illustration. In 2012 she began her masters studies at the Burg Giebichenstein in Halle. In 2014 she obtained an scholarship from the Ministry of Culture of Colombia and made her first solo exhibition in her hometown.

Juan Pablo Uribe
(b. in Colombia, 1992)

He studied at the University of Los Andes in Bogotá. After touring the Latin American city, he focused his work on the impact and evolution of modernity in underdeveloped countries. Sometimes he likes to walk around the city.

Gallery Statement

Satélite is a contemporary art gallery in Querétaro. Founded in 2016 in a small storefront window, Satélite has an annual exhibition program that focuses on seeking experimentation with new artists and researching new curatorial and exhibition formats through connecting and collaborating with public spaces and other similar projects. It works with emerging artists with vocation and international projection who develop a practice where the discourse stems from the materials. Artists with great knowledge of the material they use and its relation with the physical space, but interested in what this relation can generate in the cognitive space.
