Mexico City’s forward-thinking contemporary art fair.

Material Art Fair’s 4th edition will take place from February 9th – 12th, 2017. The fair will be held again at EXPO REFORMA, a convention center in the Juarez neighborhood of Mexico City, centrally located near the city’s financial district as well as the Historic Center and Roma-Condesa neighborhoods.

For its 2017 edition, Material Art Fair will be expanding to two floors — directly accessible by escalator from the lobby — and will feature a highly selective group of around 50 international galleries, non-profits, artist-run and independent spaces.

The Mexico City-based architectural studio, APRDELESP, has designed a new, open layout for this next edition in which all gallery spaces are situated around a central courtyard, so that the fair’s visitors will be able to flow freely from one space to another.

Material is an initiative of Daniela Elbahara and Brett W. Schultz, co-directors of Mexico City’s Yautepec gallery, and Isa Natalia Castilla, founder of Incontemporary.
